Whip Mix ResinRock XL5 is an ISO Type 5 die stone formulated with increased setting expansion to compensate for the shrinkage of vinyl polysiloxane and other rubber-based impression materials. It delivers the same smooth surface and high abrasion resistance as the standard ResinRock, with a wet compressive strength of 7,000 psi and a dry compressive strength of 11,000 psi. This blue shade provides excellent contrast to casting waxes and is mixed at a water-to-powder ratio of 20 mL per 100 g, with a working time of 5–7 minutes and a setting time of 10 minutes. Use of Gypsum Hardener is not recommended with this product. Supplied in a 33 lb / 15 kg quantity.
