Whip Mix Orthodontic Stone is an ISO Type 3 dental stone formulated specifically for orthodontic model work, featuring a super-white color for enhanced esthetics. It offers a working time of 5 to 7 minutes with a setting time of 10 minutes, allowing multiple models to be poured from a single mix. The material is mixed at a water-to-powder ratio of 28 mL per 100 g and delivers a wet compressive strength of 4,500 psi (31 MPa) and a dry compressive strength of 8,500 psi (59 MPa) at 48 hours, with a setting expansion of 0.09%. Finished models may be treated with Model Glow model soap to achieve a glossy surface. This product is supplied in a 33 lb (15 kg) quantity.
