Whip Mix Mounting Plaster is an ISO Type 1 plaster specially formulated for mounting applications, featuring low setting expansion and a fast setting time. Its low compressive strength makes cleaning mounting plates straightforward. The material is mixed at a water-to-powder ratio of 3 mL per 100 g, with a working time of 60–90 seconds and a setting time of approximately 3 minutes. Setting expansion is 0.09%, with a wet compressive strength of 640 psi (4 MPa) and a dry compressive strength of 1,800 psi (12 MPa) at 48 hours. This bulk package contains 33 lb (15 kg) of powder.
