La resina acrílica dental es el material con el que se construyen la mayoría de las prótesis removibles: un polvo de polimetilmetacrilato mezclado con un monómero líquido, empaquetado o vertido contra un modelo y curado para formar una base de prótesis. Este departamento ofrece resinas acrílicas dentales, dientes para prótesis, materiales de rebase y reparación, suministros para enmuflado y retenedores parciales preformados que llevan un caso removible desde la impresión hasta la entrega, a través de más de 1,400 listados.

La elección de un acrílico para prótesis comienza con la forma en que lo procesa. El acrílico de curado térmico se empaqueta en una mufla y se cura en un baño de agua, y sigue siendo el punto de referencia para una base de prótesis terminada. El autocurado, a veces llamado curado en frío o curado rápido, polimeriza químicamente y es la vía más rápida para reparaciones, aparatos de ortodoncia y trabajo en sillón. Las resinas vertibles se mezclan finas y se vierten en un molde de hidrocoloide. New Stetic Opti-Cryl y Keystone Industries tienen ambos tipos de curado, mientras que TCS cubre el lado termoplástico flexible.

La sección de dientes del departamento está anclada por los dientes acrílicos para prótesis New Stetic NewCryl en moldes superiores e inferiores, anteriores y posteriores en toda la gama de tonos estilo Vita, con RMH3 Dental Supply añadiendo más listados de dientes. Cómo elegir

  • Decida primero el tipo de curado: curado térmico para una base de prótesis procesada, autocurado para reparaciones, rebases y aparatos, resina vertible si trabaja con una hidro-mufla.
  • Combine la familia de tonos en todo el caso. Las resinas para bases de prótesis se venden en opciones rosa original, transparente y rosa veteado o con fibras, así que elija el tono de la base antes de elegir los dientes.
  • Verifique los tamaños de polvo y monómero por separado. Los polvos van desde pequeños frascos hasta cubos de 5 lb y los líquidos de 8 oz a 32 oz, y un laboratorio ocupado consume monómero más rápido que polvo.
  • Para los dientes de prótesis, trabaje a partir de la tabla de moldes y el tono, no del nombre del producto: los moldes anteriores superiores, anteriores inferiores y posteriores se piden como tarjetas separadas.
  • Para una reparación o un rebase, elija según la tolerancia del tejido: acrílico de rebase duro y reparación para una cresta estable, rebase blando o un acondicionador de tejidos donde la mucosa necesite recuperarse.
  • Compre los accesorios con la resina. Los separadores, los herrajes para muflas y los recipientes de mezcla son lo que detiene un caso, no el acrílico en sí.

Preguntas frecuentes

¿De qué está hecha la resina acrílica dental?

Es polimetilmetacrilato. Un polvo polimérico se mezcla con un monómero líquido de metacrilato de metilo; el monómero se hincha y disuelve las perlas de polvo, la mezcla pasa por una etapa arenosa y luego una etapa de masa, y el calor o un iniciador químico completan la polimerización en una base de prótesis rígida.

¿Cuál es la diferencia entre el acrílico para prótesis de curado térmico y de autocurado?

El curado térmico se empaqueta en una mufla y se procesa en un baño de agua, lo que proporciona la mayor conversión, resistencia y estabilidad dimensional. El autocurado polimeriza a temperatura ambiente en minutos sin baño, lo que es adecuado para reparaciones, rebases, aparatos de ortodoncia y trabajos de vertido, a costa de un poco de resistencia y más monómero residual.

¿Puedo mezclar marcas de polvo y líquido acrílico dental?

No. El polvo y el monómero están formulados como un sistema, con el iniciador y el activador divididos entre ellos, por lo que la proporción y el tiempo de trabajo solo se mantienen dentro de una misma línea de producto. Pida el polvo y el líquido correspondientes de la misma línea y siga la proporción polvo-líquido indicada por peso o volumen.

¿Cómo elijo un tono para una base de prótesis?

Las resinas base se suministran en rosa original o estándar, transparente, rosa claro y rosas veteados o con fibras. Elija según el tono del tejido del paciente y cuánto de la base se mostrará. El transparente se utiliza para trabajos de ortodoncia, pruebas y casos en los que una base palatina debe desaparecer.

¿Con qué rapidez se envían los acrílicos y materiales para prótesis?
